	Job Description Investment Operations – Requires Excel to VBA Level Location: Edinburgh . Hours: circa 8:30am until 6pm. Permanent - Competitive Salary. Our client is based in Edinburgh and is a recently established long only asset manager that invests in global equity securities. You will be joining the firm at an exciting time as they plan their growth. Candidate Requirements It is essential that candidates have previous commercial experience, ideally gained within the Financial Services sector. Good PC skills, with knowledge of Microsoft products. Excel ability is essential (including the ability to write macros in VBA). Graduate with a reasonable degree pass. Job Description Our client is seeking a candidate to work in a broad role, combining Investment Administration tasks with providing Management Accounts support. Please note that our employer is a small firm. This provides staff with the opportunity to engage with the firm’s management and founders. It also requires staff to be flexible and to perform a wide variety of tasks, many of which are ad-hoc and not listed below. Core Administration (50%) Core Administration: Provide cover/support for trade ticket generation, settlement, cash management, corporate actions and proxy voting, withholding tax reclaims and investment guideline compliance. Fund Monitoring: Maintaining internal records for client values and performance, including internal monitoring spreadsheet. Investigate issues associated with investing in new markets, monitoring of Custodians and Fund Administrators, ensuring operating procedures and service levels are up to date. Investment Management Support (50%) Reporting: Produce reports using a combination of Factset, Excel, Indata, MCSI and MS Access. Develop new reports using Excel to VBA Level. Client Reporting: Producing routine client reports covering investment analytics and stock / portfolio performance.Produce quarterly marketing and client books, support newsletter preparation and other ad hoc client requests. Investment Manager Projects:Working with Investment Managers on new projects, such as back testing of security performance, security analytics reports, supporting research projects and client presentations.Writing project specification and developing solutions using existing system resources.
