Job Description Position: Senior Scientist Location: Cambridge Salary: c£35,000 The Role To improve the lifetime of the fluorescent and phosphorescent devices by understanding which materials promote long lifetime and by correlating materials properties and process parameters to device performances and degradation. Using the improved understanding in this area, to aid development of new materials, deposition methods and device structures with better performance. Working in the Breakthrough Team to hit the Breakthrough Team target with new concepts of material structure designing and device structure and processing optimisation The Candidate Able to work independently Proactive and self motivated can identify, promote and implement relevant research activities; can manage his/her own time Good analytical and idea generation skills PhD or equivalent research experience in Physics or related subject Working knowledge of device analysis and statistical methods. Knowledge of phosphorescent and polymer systems Good team player who values cultural diversity and possesses excellent communication skills: able to communicate clearly locally and across time zones with people from a variety of technical and non technical backgrounds at different levels of the organisation.
